Founder & Co-director

Dr Hirbod Assa

Hirbod is a risk management entrepreneur and insurtech professor. He has two Ph.D., one in financial mathematics from the University of Montreal and economics from Concordia University. He has founded and co-founded companies in risk management and has also done projects in climate and commodity risk. He also regularly contributes to academic writing, as well as public presence on BBC Radio Kent and KMTV, and LinkedIn.

Dr Fatemeh Behzadnejad

Fatemeh got her Ph.D. in economics from McGill University in 2014. She has worked for several years as a climate data scientist and economist in the industry, including consultancy group Simetrica and NatWest Group, and has experience in leading data-driven projects, especially using Stata, Python, and other statistical and data science tools.

Dr Navid Parvini

Navid is a Ph.D. student in Finance at the University of Kent, UK. He received his MBA-Finance from the University of Tabriz, Iran. His main research interests are in the application of Machine Learning in Finance with a focus on Financial Forecasting and Natural Language Processing in financial markets.

Climate and Remote Sensing Scientist

Mehran Pirbasti

Mehran is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at University College Dublin (UCD). With a strong background in Remote Sensing and Geomatics, he specializes in applying advanced Artificial Intelligence techniques to geospatial data. His work focuses on leveraging computer vision to analyze satellite imagery and on developing scalable, data-driven solutions to address industry challenges, including climate modeling and environmental monitoring.
